Today is a day to celebrate love!! A day for me and my hubby to celebrate ten years of marriage! I am so excited about this and thankful to God. I am not one of those girls who dreamed of being married as a little girl. I didn’t have it all planned out. I didn’t have a dream guy in mind. I was just going with the flow of life when God brought this amazing man into my life. This is one of those God will give you more than you could ever ask for or imagine kind of things.
Today I want to share with you some things on love and marriage.
The first thing is that there are many health benefits related to being in a long-term loving relationship.
Here are just a few of my favorite that I found in this article from Woman’s Day.
- Love may be good for your immune system – Those who use positive conflict resolution show higher immune function.
- It can help minimize pain – I love this one! Research shows that women who experienced pain, had less pain when holding their husband’s hand.
- It helps mental health – This study showed that when people looked at photos of loved ones, dopamine was released into the brain. This helps with ones overall sense of well-being.
I’ll take all 3 of those! Love is such an amazing thing. You can read more about what the Bible says about love here.
Lastly, my church recently did a series on marriage. What I want to share with you today is an amazingly good and funny sermon from that series. I hope it helps you, encourages you and makes you laugh! Thanks for joining me today as I celebrate 10 years of marriage to my hubby and as I link up with Amanda at Royal Daughter Designs, desire to inspire!
